The Wandering Village is a city-building simulation game on the back of a giant, wandering creature. Build your settlement and form a symbiotic relationship with the colossus. Will you survive together in this hostile, yet beautiful post-apocalyptic world, contaminated by poisonous plants?
The Wandering Village is the third simulation game made by Stray Fawn Studio. After seeing a beautiful artwork of a city carried by a giant creature at a local exhibition, the two founders of Stray Fawn agreed that this would be an interesting setting for their next game. The rest of the team was very much onboard with the idea. After some initial research the team found that there were quite a few games out there that used giant animals as part of their story and visuals, but very few where the creature actually influences the game mechanics and interactions. They decided to make a new game that revolves around the relationship of a giant and a group of human survivors, a game about symbiosis. Successfully backed on Kickstarter and after three years of development, The Wandering Village has climbed into the top 30 most wishlisted games on Steam. Available in Steam Early Access for PC, Mac and Linux for $24.99 on September 14th, this marks only the beginning of Onbu’s journey. The Wandering Village will also make its way to Xbox Game Preview in 2023.
