The new mobile game developed by a team of passionate game design students and published by digiDingo (Grooh), will take the player on a thrilling journey through the enchanted woods of Elarooh! Players will have to explore the lush, hand-drawn environments, talk to memorable characters and solve tricky puzzles in order to lift the secrets that surround the once so peaceful forest. Immerse yourself and let the beautiful animations and dynamic soundtrack carry you away into this exciting new world.
Players can use the magic of ancient spirits to switch between day and night or even control the elements. Harness these powers to open new passages, help the animals and ultimately save the forest from corruption! Elarooh tells us a story about overcoming prejudice and maintaining balance and harmony in a beautiful, yet frail world.
The team behind Elarooh consists of five students who have contributed all of their knowledge and every second of their spare time towards this project. It is a work of passion, a game that blends together the ideas and visions of five young and motivated game designers.
With a total playtime of well over 3 hours, 30 scenes - each of which can be visited by day or night - and lots of different collectable objects, puzzles and challenging minigames, Elarooh certainly makes sure to have something in store for any kind of gamer. (Source: Elarooh's press kit)
The team of Elarooh consists of four Game Design Students of the Zürich University of the Arts - who are currently also working on their Bachelor projects - as well as a Bachelor-graduate with a degree in neuro-informatics.
Philomena Schwab: Project leader and main artist of the game. She initiated the project, developed the story, designed the game and painted all the scenes, characters and interface elements.
Markus Rossé: He animated the characters and backgrounds, designed the graphics for the minigames and supported the team with his knowledge in game design.
Robin Bornschein: Responsible for the development of the puzzles. He designed the minigames with their levels, wrote a large part of the dialogues and programmed the original prototype of Elarooh.
Gian Jenal: Composer of the soundtrack and responsible for all the sound effects.
Beat Kunz: He developed the complete point & click framework for Elarooh and programmed the final version of the game.
